Popis
Explore Miramare Castle through the eyes of an unexpected guide: Max, the real castle cat who lived here for nearly 20 years. Kids don’t just hear history—they experience it.
This interactive storytelling tour is designed for children aged 6 to 13 and their families. Instead of a traditional guided visit, kids discover the park and castle step by step through short, engaging stories inspired by the lives of Maximilian I of Mexico and Charlotte of Belgium—the couple who built Miramare as their dream home by the sea. Led by the voice of “Max,” children explore gardens, paths, and rooms while uncovering surprising details hidden in plain sight.
• In the park, they learn how exotic plants were brought from distant lands—and why they don’t naturally belong here
• They discover that statues and landscapes were carefully designed to shape how visitors feel
• At the cannons, they’ll be surprised to find they were used for celebrations, not war
• Inside the castle, they step into real rooms—bedrooms, library, dining halls—and reflect on how people actually lived
Each stop includes a short story, a surprising twist, and a simple question that invites children to observe, think, and participate.
This is not a fairy tale. Everything is based on real places and real people—but told in a way children can understand and connect with.
Through Max’s perspective, the castle becomes a lived space rather than a distant monument.
