Venice from Trieste Cruise Port: Transfer, Walk or Gondola

Reaching Venice from the Trieste cruise port is easy when someone collects you at the ship and carries your luggage. A comfortable air-conditioned vehicle takes you to Piazzale Roma, and from there you choose how much of the city you want to see.

• Transfer only: the ride to Piazzale Roma, with luggage handled for you.
• Transfer and walking tour: your bags stay in storage while a local guide walks you past the Frari church, Campo San Polo, the Rialto market and bridge, and St. Mark's Square beside the Basilica, the Clock Tower and the Doge's Palace.
• Deluxe version: a private water taxi along the Grand Canal toward St. Mark's Square, a guided visit of the area and the Rialto, then a private gondola ride of about 25 minutes, with the return by water taxi.

Guided options end at Piazzale Roma, and the team can help you plan the way on to a hotel or the airport; tell them what you need when you book. Drivers and guides speak English, and other languages are offered too. Inside visits to the Basilica and Doge's Palace are not part of the tour, and food, drinks and tips are extra. The tour is not suited to wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
