Description
This Malvazija wine tasting in Istria asks how much the soil changes what ends up in the glass. At the Cattunar winery in Brtonigla the grape is always Malvazija Istriana and the maker the same, but the vines grow on four different soils of western Istria.
After a welcome drink you taste the white, grey, red and black soil wines side by side, then two older bottlings, Collina and Nono. On request, wines in the programme can be swapped.
Every tasting includes a walk through the cellar with a guide. Depending on the weather, the tasting takes place either indoors in the tasting room or outside, and it lasts about an hour and a half.

The platters contain meat, milk, gluten and nuts; with advance notice the food can be adapted to intolerances. The host speaks Croatian, Italian, English or German.
