Description
This Istria wine tasting at Cattunar takes place on the hills above Novigrad, in Brtonigla, where three forts once overlooked the area's production. The tasting is a short introduction to what the area produces, which three queens of the forts, for salt, oil and wine, once watched over.
It starts with a welcome drink, then moves through six wines made from native grapes. You taste two Malvazija, two Teran and two Muškat, among them an aged Malvazija and an aged Teran, and you can swap wines on request. A guided tour of the cellar is part of every tasting.
The wines come with Cattunar's extra virgin olive oil, which scored 92 points at the Flos Olei competition, and with a Premium Istrian Platter.
