Description
This glass flameworking workshop in Motovun puts you at the torch for 90 minutes, in a studio in the middle of the old town. After a short safety talk and a demonstration, you work molten glass over an oxy-propane flame yourself. No experience is needed, and the group is capped at four people, so you get real hands-on time.
You make between two and five small pieces: whimsical ornaments, twisted icicles or glass beads. The theme changes with the day, so check the options when you book. They make good keepsakes or gifts, and the session has a collaborative feel.

Your work cannot go home the same day. You collect it the following day, or ask for it to be shipped to you, with postage extra. Parking is in the public areas, then you walk into the old town to reach the studio. Wear natural-fiber clothes and closed shoes; synthetic fabrics and sandals stay at home, and long hair needs a band. Ages 12 and up are welcome, and anyone under 18 comes with an adult who also takes part.
