Description
A walking tour of Trieste with a local is a quick way to get your bearings, whether it is your first visit or not. For two hours your host leads you past the city's best-known landmarks and a few quieter corners, explaining how each place fits into everyday life.
The route runs through Piazza Unità d'Italia and along the Canal Grande, and the places visited include the Molo Audace, the Roman Theatre and the Arco di Riccardo. Stories come with the stops, and the order may change with the weather.
The walk is also practical. Along the way the host passes on advice about restaurants, bars and getting around town, so the rest of your stay is easier to plan.
- A knowledgeable host, who is an independent Local
- A small group, eight travellers at most
- Personalised recommendations for your own days in the city
The pace and the stops follow what the group enjoys and how fast it walks. Personal expenses are not included, and the tour is not suited to people with mobility impairments. English and Italian are available.
