Description
This food tour in Trieste is a three-hour walk where every tasting comes with a story. A slice of Sacher or Dobos cake invites you to picture Franz Joseph at a café table, Sisi sampling Presnitz, Joyce calling for a potica, or Marshal Radetzky booking a spot by the Canal Grande.
Between stops you see the Grand Canal, the Jewish Ghetto and Piazza Unità d'Italia and hear what each means to the city. One stop is the Pasticceria La Bomboniera, the oldest café, where the desserts come with a love-story reputation.
