Description
This private day trip from Trieste to Lake Bled takes you into the Slovenian Alps for a full day with an English-speaking driver-guide. Your guide collects you at your hotel or at the port in Trieste, and a minivan carries you to emerald water, a small island and a medieval castle above the shore.
At Lake Bled there is free time to stroll the lakeside promenade, take photos or sit with a coffee facing the water. Two extras are on offer, both paid separately: a pletna, the traditional wooden boat, across to Bled Island, and a visit to Bled Castle for views of the Alps.
The second stop is Radovljica, a medieval town with historic architecture, artisan shops and a relaxed atmosphere. It is a good place to see the alpine side of Slovenian culture, and you can add a local lunch with regional specialties if you wish.
