Description
The Slovenian coast tour from Trieste is a slow-paced day built around local stories and flavours. A guide and a comfortable van pick you up in Trieste, and the border is soon behind you.
The first stop is Koper, Slovenia's biggest coastal town, where a brief stroll covers the old centre. Next comes Izola, a fishing town with colourful houses and narrow streets, where the van pauses at a viewpoint over the coast. The road then passes the Strunjan nature park and its salt pans.
Piran is the main stop. A guided walk takes you through its streets and across Tartini Square, and afterwards the group settles into a cosy seaside tavern and tries wine, prosciutto, cheese and olive oil. The day closes with a drive through Portorož, the best-known seaside resort in the country, before the return to Trieste.

The tour lasts about five and a half hours, and transport, guide, insurance and pick-up and drop-off are included. It is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments.
